It is time for all B2, C, and D students that are attending the Summer Intensive Workshop June 24-July 21 to send in their application forms with deposit now .

We will also have daily Ballet "Boot " Camp class in June for smart/serious intermediate and advanced dancers
who want to be in shape when they start summer intensives, either at CBT or elsewhere.

For our younger dancers we will again offer Prince/Princess Camps, for boys and girls age 5-9.
The camp features ballet, tap, tumbling,& arts & crafts.

Alexey Kulpin
Alexey Kulpin recently worked as a principal dancer with Grand Rapids Ballet Company where also taught ballet for the past 8 years. A graduate from the University of Culture and Art, he became a certified ballet teacher and choreographer. He taught in Russia at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and youth ballet schools while dancing in different companies. He was next invited to Ballet Israel in Tel Aviv, where he tuaght at the Ballet Israel school. Upon arriving in the U.S., he started teaching private classes and taught company class once a week at the City Ballet of San Diego before moving on t0 Grand Rapids, Michigan to join the Grand Rapids Ballet. He has also worked at Toledo Ballet Theatre, Grossile Academy,Armenta Dance Company, and Ada Ballet School.
Ezlimar Dortolina - Neos Dance Theatre
Ezlimar started her ballet studies in the Classical Ballet School in Venezuela. She became an apprentice with the Classical Ballet of Camara at the age of 13. She as studied with Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. and the Ecole Superieure de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France. She has worked as a soloist in Ballet Clasico de Camara, Ballet Teresa Carreño, Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas, and was a member of Tulsa Ballet. As a guest artist she performed with Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico in the role of Mercedes in Don Quixote, Olympic Ballet Theatre to perform the Sugar Plum fairy in the Nutcracker, and others. She joined the cast of the Colombian Classical Ballet as principal dancer. She has danced the leading roles of Esmeralda, Le Corsaire, Gran Pas Classique, Paquita, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Les Sylphides, Coppelia, Midsummer Night´s Dream, Carmina Burana, LaTraviata, Nous Sommes, among others. She has worked with notable choreographers such as Maria Eugenia Barrios, Mario Galizzi, Rosella Hightower, James Urbain, Christopher Fleming, Juan Carlos Peñuela and others. Ezlimar joined State Street Ballet as a principal dancer for the 2009/2010 Season, dancing the principal and soloist roles in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Love Love and Midsummer Night´s Dream.
Jose Edwin Gonzalez Amaya
Jose Edwin Gonzalez Amaya was born in Cali, Colombia, where he started his ballet studies at the age of eight at INCOLBALLET under the direction of Gloria Castro and danced with the Ballet de Cali, where he performed several roles from the classical and modern repertoire. With Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas under the direction of Maria Eugenia Barrios, he danced the principal roles of Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Midsummer Night´s Dream, Carmina Burana, Play, Carmen and others. He danced as a principal dancer with Ballet Teresa Carreño and as a guest artist in Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico in Don Quixote. After, he joined Tulsa ballet where he danced Lambarena from Val Caniparoli, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, La Sylphide and Western Symphony. In 2007, Mr. Gonzalez joined the cast of the Colombian Classical Ballet Company, and participated in a two month tour through Spain, and participated in the International Ballet Festival in Cali, Colombia. Jose Edwin has worked with notable dance choreographers including Maria Eugenia Barrios, Mario Galizzi, Jimmy Gamonet, Maiqui Mañosa, Christopher Fleming, Rodney Gustafson, and others. HE joined State Street Ballet as a principal guest artist in 2009 dancing the leading roles in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Love Love, Midsummer Night´s Dream and The Jungle Book. Jose Edwin joined the cast of Neos Dance Theatre in 2010 and continues to guest with important ballet companies in the United States
Austin Smith
From Salt lake City,UT Austin graduated from Utah Valley University with a B.F.A. in Ballet. Austin attended UVU on scholarship, was awarded a Scholarly and Creative Opportunities Grant for his choreographic work, and was invited to the National Conference of Undergraduate Research for his research in Dance History. After graduation, Austin performed with Utah Regional Ballet under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge.
Haruka Okubo
Ms Okubo started ballet lessons at the age of four, training with the iS Ballet Academia and its repertory company in Japan. She has won numerous awards in such competitions as the NBA Ballet Competition, The Ballet Competition Nagoya, and The Kobe Dance Competition. Ms. Okubo danced last season with the Northwest Florida Ballet (NFB).
Molly Wagner
Molly started her training in Denver, Colorado at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. She attended the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, on scholarship, to earn her B.F.A. in dance performance. While there, she danced many roles including the "Mazurka" in Les Sylphides, and "Waltz Girl" in George Balanchine's Serenade. Ms. Wagner has attended summer programs with Jillana, Kansas City Ballet, and Ballet Austin, including training under Maria Tallchief, Gretchen Warren, and Marjorie Thompson. She first worked with Elie Lazar at the Joffrey Ballet summer program in 2005. She has danced professionally with the Kansas City Ballet, Albany Berkshire Ballet, and Missouri Contemporary Ballet.

Our first annual Jazz Hall Ball gala event inisde the glamorous Crystal Ballroom at the Charleston Waterfront Marriott offers a unique chance to dance the night away under the enchanting crystal ballroom chandeliers amongst the sounds of live music from Charleston jazz icon Quentin Baxter and the Quentin Baxter trio.
Exclusive performances from the Charleston Ballet Theatre professional company and the Palmetto City Youth Ballet will be set amidst the sights and sounds of a steamy 1940's style jazz club. The Jazz Hall Ball, complete with velet rope, delicous culinary cusine stations, open bars and jewleled champagne towers will also feature a live auction with one of a kind vacation getaways from New Orleans to New York City.
Come dressed in your jazz club best and dance the night away, punishing the parquet with one of our amazing dance company members or taking your loved one for a spin across the dancefloor.
